Are We "Alone Together?" - CPMS100
This writing piece is an insightful summary and reflection on Sherry Turkle's Alone Together. In her book, Turkle discusses the implications of technological expansiveness concerning the hindrance this inflicts upon human interactivity. She narrows in on the nature of this conundrum; although we are more connected than ever thanks to technology, we are simultaneously increasingly distant. My critical reflection contains an appropriate balance between outlining Turkle's views and sharing my thoughts on the matter. The piece is supported with examples from Turkle's writing that particularly stood out to me, which are accompanied by my relevant experiences.

Super Bowl Ad Analysis - CPMS101
This analysis on Google's 2020 Super Bowl Ad, "Loretta," stood out to me in my collection of work due to its comprehensiveness. In this writing piece, I provided an in-depth analysis of the ad according to the ADPLAN framework, covering each component of the method in direct reference to characteristics of the ad. I particularly enjoyed this assignment due to the widescale reach of the Super Bowl and the significance of this event in the advertisement industry. It was interesting to analyze the effectiveness of an ad that was consumed by millions of Americans all at the same time.

Media Scholars Ad with a Cultural Frame - CPMS225
This advertisement promotes the Media, Self, and Society program of College Park Scholars in accordance with one of William Leiss' cultural frames: Narcissism. Rather than merely stating the advantages of Media Scholars, I directed these advantages toward each individual who reads the ad as reasons why they would thrive and prosper in the program, elaborating on ultimate gain and benefit. This assignment was especially engaging due to the fact that it highlighted my inclinations toward design and creativity. Furthermore, the production of the ad encouraged critical thinking in the sense of marketing technique.
